How to reconstitute KPV: mixing and storage

An alpha-MSH fragment studied for gut inflammation in animals, with no human dosing trial.

Also called: Lys-Pro-Val, Lysine-proline-valine, alpha-MSH(11-13), KPV acetate.

Anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial peptides · C-terminal alpha-MSH tripeptide with preclinical anti-inflammatory activity · Evidence: Animal studies only.

Comes as: Oral pills or capsules reported in forums, Lyophilised powder in vials reported in forums, Experimental creams, gels and delivery particles.

Mixed with: Forums describe bacteriostatic water. No human study validates a diluent for injectable KPV..

Common vial sizes: 10 mg. Common water amounts: mL.

  • Syringe units measure volume, not peptide mass. A clear solution does not establish identity, sterility or absence of endotoxin.
  • FDA reports storage claims for different KPV forms, but these do not establish a sterile multidose-vial expiry.
  • A laboratory HPLC study found breakdown under acid, alkali and peroxide stress; it did not validate a home-mixed injection shelf life.

Before mixing: No approved storage label. Storage depends on the chemical form and formulation; FDA notes gaps in stability and quality data.

After mixing: No validated human-use shelf life or beyond-use date. Do not borrow a 28-day rule from the diluent.
