A peptide with unproven brain benefits and no established injection dose.

Also called: EDR, Glu-Asp-Arg, glutamyl-aspartyl-arginine.

Khavinson bioregulator peptides · Synthetic tripeptide studied for nerve-cell protection.

What Pinealon does

Pinealon is a three-amino-acid peptide studied for brain function and aging. Small oral studies often combined peptides; no independent trial confirms a benefit. Cell and rat findings do not prove better memory, sleep or longer life. Injection dosing, long-term harms and product quality remain unclear.

  • Studied in small reports of people with brain symptoms and for work performance, but the benefit is still uncertain. (Studied in a trial)
  • In an older study without a comparison group, work and health scores changed after people took it by mouth; the cause is unclear. (Studied in a trial)
  • One user reported better focus and libido; for sleep, people report both better and more broken sleep. (Reported by users)

Uses in the sources

  • Studied in small reports of brain symptoms and work performance; benefit remains uncertain. (Studied in a trial) (source)
  • Users report both better sleep and disrupted sleep. A reliable sleep benefit has not been established. (Reported by users) (source)
  • Used for aging claims; human lifespan extension has not been demonstrated. (Reported by users) (source)

How to mix Pinealon

Comes as: Oral capsules in human reports, Freeze-dried powder vials and nasal sprays in community reports.

Mixed with: Bacteriostatic water is reported for vials. No approved Pinealon reconstitution instructions exist..

Common vial sizes: 20, 30 mg. Common water amounts: 2 mL.

  • A forum example proposes 20 mg with 2 mL water. Actual amount and sterility are unverified.
  • Water with a preservative does not sterilize contaminated powder.
  • Capsule content, nasal spray content and injectable peptide mass are not interchangeable.

Before mixing: No validated storage specification for unregulated vials was found. Follow no assumed shelf life from oral-capsule reports.

After mixing: No validated mixed-vial or nasal-spray stability period was found. Refrigeration does not establish sterility or potency.

Pinealon side effects and risks

Reported side effects

  • Sleep disruption and head pressure: Personal reports; no population rate or confirmed causality., moderate. Stop and review persistent symptoms; seek urgent care for severe new symptoms. (source)
  • Injection infection or serious allergy: No Pinealon specific incidence is available., serious (source)

Stop and get help if

  • Trouble breathing, throat or tongue swelling, or collapse: Stop use and call emergency services now.
  • Fever with spreading injection-site redness, confusion or fast breathing: Seek urgent emergency care for possible severe infection.

Who should avoid it

  • pregnant: No human pregnancy safety data. Precautionary exclusion.
  • breastfeeding: Milk transfer and infant effects are unknown. Precautionary exclusion.
  • tryingToConceive: Fertility effects and a safe washout interval are unknown. Precautionary exclusion.
  • under18: Child safety is unestablished. Small reports do not establish a safe pediatric dose.
  • kidneyDisease: Human clearance and dose adjustment in kidney disease are unknown.
  • liverDisease: Human clearance and dose adjustment in liver disease are unknown.
  • psychiatricCondition: Sleep disruption or agitation may worsen existing symptoms. Human psychiatric safety is untested.
  • seizureDisorder: Seizure safety and interactions with seizure medicines have not been established.
  • other: Avoid re-exposure after a serious allergic reaction.
  • testedAthlete: Treat as prohibited under WADA S0. This applies the class rule; neither peptide is named.
  • bleedingDisorder: Needle injections can cause bleeding or a hematoma. This is a procedure risk.
  • activeCancer: Cell-growth effects have been reported. Human cancer safety is unknown; review with the oncology team.

Interactions

  • Anticoagulants during intramuscular injections: IM injections can cause bruising or hematoma. A peptide-specific drug interaction has not been studied.
  • Insulin and sulfonylureas: No human interaction study or dose-adjustment rule was found. Do not infer a need to change diabetes medicines.
  • Serotonergic medicines: Brain-cell studies show serotonin changes. A human interaction or serotonin-syndrome risk has not been demonstrated.
  • Epitalon or other experimental brain peptides: Combination safety is unstudied. A Pinealon/Epitalon user reported marked sleep disruption.

Product quality risks

  • Health Canada seized unauthorized Pinealon injections. No independent market survey of Pinealon vial content or contamination was found.
  • Unapproved injections can contain the wrong drug, the wrong amount, microbes or bacterial toxins called endotoxin.
  • A research-only label, clear solution or high purity percentage does not establish injection quality.

What to expect

A small worker study used oral Pinealon twice daily for two weeks; this does not establish an injection course.

14 human reports or summaries may reuse some participants. Independent trials have not confirmed a benefit.

Key studies

  • Head injury: patent example: A patent describes human IM exposure, with major reporting gaps. (source)
  • Mixed brain disorders: internal report: An internal oral-use report suggests symptom changes but cannot establish benefit or safety. (source)
  • Head injury: review-described cohort: A review reports oral human exposure but lacks usable comparative outcome numbers. (source)
  • Older adults: emotional symptoms: This report is part of the human record, but its detailed dosing remains unverified. (source)
  • Locomotive workers: oral course: Work and health scores changed after oral dosing; causation is uncertain. (source)
  • Locomotive workers: companion report: The abstract confirms a 100 mcg twice-daily oral schedule. (source)

Pinealon FAQ

  • Is Pinealon FDA-approved? No approved product, named 503A category, final bulks entry or Pinealon-specific PCAC vote found. A prescription does not establish approval.
  • How do people take it? By mouth, twice daily. 20–30 days. Source: clinician-published.
  • What's the difference between Pinealon and Epitalon? Pinealon: a peptide with unproven brain benefits and no established injection dose. Epitalon: a peptide with telomerase effects in cells, but no proof that people live longer. Why people pair them: users combine them for sleep timing and aging goals.
  • Can I take it with Epitalon? Users combine them for sleep timing and aging goals. No controlled trial of this pair found. Sleep disruption has been reported. Source: reported by users. Ask a doctor before combining anything.
  • Is it banned in sport? Yes. It is banned in and out of competition (WADA 2026). Neither peptide is named. S0 covers pharmacological substances without therapeutic approval; this classification applies that rule.
  • How long does a mixed vial last? No validated mixed-vial or nasal-spray stability period was found. Refrigeration does not establish sterility or potency.
