Studies
- Head injury: patent example. rct, n=25, 25 adults aged 31–60 with remote head injury. A patent describes human IM exposure, with major reporting gaps. (source)
- Mixed brain disorders: internal report. cohort, n=74, Adults with head-injury effects, prior stroke, vascular brain disease or memory complaints. An internal oral-use report suggests symptom changes but cannot establish benefit or safety. (source)
- Head injury: review-described cohort. cohort, n=109, 72 adults aged 30–74 with head-injury effects and fatigue; 37 usual-care controls. A review reports oral human exposure but lacks usable comparative outcome numbers. (source)
- Older adults: emotional symptoms. cohort, Older adults with emotional symptoms; a later review describes 75 recipients. This report is part of the human record, but its detailed dosing remains unverified. (source)
- Locomotive workers: oral course. single-arm, n=146, 146 male locomotive workers, aged 20–50, in two age groups. Work and health scores changed after oral dosing; causation is uncertain. (source)
- Locomotive workers: companion report. single-arm, Locomotive crew workers. The abstract confirms a 100 mcg twice-daily oral schedule. (source)
- Truck drivers: peptide combinations. cohort, n=300, 150 male truck drivers and 150 metal workers. The report suggests symptom changes but does not isolate Pinealon. (source)
- Judo athletes: stepped oral course. single-arm, n=18, 18 female judo athletes aged 16–22. A small uncontrolled report used a step up, then down, over 15 days. (source)
- Gymnasts: Pinealon with Crystagen. rct, n=20, 20 elite rhythmic gymnasts. A very small combination study cannot show Pinealon alone improves recovery. (source)
- Workers: work-ability analysis. cohort, People in hazardous occupations. The work-ability paper adds limited, potentially repeated human evidence. (source)
- Chronic illness: 32-person report. cohort, n=32, Adults aged 41–83 with multiple illnesses and stable organic brain symptoms. This small report includes concerning marker changes as well as claimed benefit. (source)
- 110 adults: several aging interventions. cohort, n=110, 110 adults of differing ages. This comparison does not establish an effective dose or reliable safety rate. (source)
- Northern workers: personalized mixtures. cohort, n=113, 113 gas-industry workers given genotype-guided interventions. A multi-product workplace program cannot establish Pinealon effects. (source)
- Older men: four-group monograph report. rct, n=170, 170 men aged 60–74. A developer monograph describes randomized exposure without independent replication. (source)
- Human-derived neurons in a dish. in-vitro, Induced neurons made from older donor skin cells. Cell findings support a hypothesis, not a cognitive or sleep benefit. (source)
- Oxidative stress in cells. in-vitro, Cerebellar cells, neutrophils and PC12 cells. Pinealon affected cell survival and growth-related pathways. (source)
- Prenatal stress in rats. animal, Offspring of methionine-loaded pregnant rats. Rat results cannot establish an adult human dose. (source)
- Serotonin in brain-cell cultures. in-vitro, Aging brain cortex cultures and molecular docking. This is the basis of a theoretical serotonergic interaction concern. (source)

These are doses reported in labels, trials or user reports, not a personal plan. Check the source behind each one.
Pinealon side effects and risks
Reported side effects
- Sleep disruption and head pressure: Personal reports; no population rate or confirmed causality., moderate. Stop and review persistent symptoms; seek urgent care for severe new symptoms. (source)
- Injection infection or serious allergy: No Pinealon specific incidence is available., serious (source)
Stop and get help if
- Trouble breathing, throat or tongue swelling, or collapse: Stop use and call emergency services now.
- Fever with spreading injection-site redness, confusion or fast breathing: Seek urgent emergency care for possible severe infection.
Who should avoid it
- pregnant: No human pregnancy safety data. Precautionary exclusion.
- breastfeeding: Milk transfer and infant effects are unknown. Precautionary exclusion.
- tryingToConceive: Fertility effects and a safe washout interval are unknown. Precautionary exclusion.
- under18: Child safety is unestablished. Small reports do not establish a safe pediatric dose.
- kidneyDisease: Human clearance and dose adjustment in kidney disease are unknown.
- liverDisease: Human clearance and dose adjustment in liver disease are unknown.
- psychiatricCondition: Sleep disruption or agitation may worsen existing symptoms. Human psychiatric safety is untested.
- seizureDisorder: Seizure safety and interactions with seizure medicines have not been established.
- other: Avoid re-exposure after a serious allergic reaction.
- testedAthlete: Treat as prohibited under WADA S0. This applies the class rule; neither peptide is named.
- bleedingDisorder: Needle injections can cause bleeding or a hematoma. This is a procedure risk.
- activeCancer: Cell-growth effects have been reported. Human cancer safety is unknown; review with the oncology team.
Interactions
- Anticoagulants during intramuscular injections: IM injections can cause bruising or hematoma. A peptide-specific drug interaction has not been studied.
- Insulin and sulfonylureas: No human interaction study or dose-adjustment rule was found. Do not infer a need to change diabetes medicines.
- Serotonergic medicines: Brain-cell studies show serotonin changes. A human interaction or serotonin-syndrome risk has not been demonstrated.
- Epitalon or other experimental brain peptides: Combination safety is unstudied. A Pinealon/Epitalon user reported marked sleep disruption.
Product quality risks
- Health Canada seized unauthorized Pinealon injections. No independent market survey of Pinealon vial content or contamination was found.
- Unapproved injections can contain the wrong drug, the wrong amount, microbes or bacterial toxins called endotoxin.
- A research-only label, clear solution or high purity percentage does not establish injection quality.
How Pinealon works
In lab models, Pinealon changes gene activity linked to cell survival and serotonin. Some stressed nerve cells survive better. Whether an oral or injected dose reaches the human brain intact and produces useful effects is unknown.
- Oxidative stress and ERK signaling: Changes seen in cells; human clinical relevance unknown.
- Serotonin-related gene activity: Increased expression in aging cortex cultures; no confirmed human brain effect.
Half-life: Human half-life has not been established.
Gaps: Human-study count means reports, not proven independent cohorts; locomotive, worker, thesis and older-adult reports may overlap. Reports describe peptide complexes or supplements. Their equivalence to modern synthetic EDR injection vials is unproven. No registered ClinicalTrials.gov study was found under Pinealon. Alternate-name registrations could be missed. The 72-person head-injury report and 75-person emotional-symptom report are summarized in reviews; their primary detailed datasets were not found. The 170-person monograph report may overlap the 2008 paper or thesis. It is not independent replication. A patent describes IM doses of 1 mcg, 10 mcg and 5 mg daily. This is not peer-reviewed confirmation of an injection protocol. No human SC or intranasal dose, dose-ranging trial, drug-level study or validated injection ceiling was verified. No evidence supports a 20 mg oral or injection standard, permanent brain repair, longer life, or predictable telomere benefit. The 32-person abstract has inconsistent sex totals and reports pro-oxidant and CD34+ changes without useful clinical safety follow-up. Rare harms, cancer effects, fertility, pregnancy, breastfeeding and long-term neurological outcomes are unknown. No validated routine laboratory-monitoring schedule or product-specific storage/reconstitution standard was found. Prevalence labels describe this search, not a survey. Only nMentions=1 entries were explicitly counted as individual reports. No Pinealon-specific contamination survey, poison-center case series or US warning letter was located. EU/UK authorization absence and Australian schedule coverage were not fully independently resolved. No published independent clinician dosing guideline was found; the clinical-practice entry is a developer-authored review regimen. Safety blocks and warnings are precautionary screening judgments, not an approved label. Specific risks are identified as theoretical or unstudied.
