Also called: Ibutamoren, Ibutamoren mesylate, Ibutamoren mesilate, MK-0677, MK0677, LUM-201, L-163,191.
Growth hormone secretagogues (ghrelin receptor) · Non-peptide ghrelin-receptor agonist and growth hormone secretagogue.
It activates the ghrelin receptor, which helps control hunger and growth hormone release. This raises growth hormone and IGF-1. Higher hormone levels do not prove better health.
- GHSR-1a, the ghrelin receptor: Signals the brain and pituitary to increase growth hormone release; can increase hunger.
- GH and IGF-1 pathway: Changes growth signals, fluid balance and how the body handles blood sugar.
Half-life: A reliable numeric human elimination half-life was not confirmed in the retrieved primary reports.
