BPC-157 FAQ: common questions answered
An experimental repair peptide with mostly animal evidence and a few small human reports.
Also called: BPC 157, BPC157, Body protection compound 157, Bepecin, PL-14736, PCO-02.
Healing and repair peptides · Experimental synthetic pentadecapeptide.
- Is BPC-157 FDA-approved? No. BPC-157 acetate: limited to subcutaneous, intramuscular, oral, topical forms. The October 30, 2026 Federal Register describes a nonbinding draft interim HHS 503A enforcement policy, with public comment invited. It is conditional on eligible state-licensed pharmacies, federal facilities or licensed physicians, a patient-specific prescription, a single active ingredient, specified identity and route, qualified manufacturing, lot testing, reporting and labeling conditions. It is not FDA drug approval, a final 503A listing or general authorization to supply research products.
- How do people take it? Under the skin, once daily. Source: reported by users, not an established dose.
- What's the difference between BPC-157 and TB-500? BPC-157: an experimental repair peptide with mostly animal evidence and a few small human reports. TB-500: a short piece of thymosin beta-4 with no proven repair benefit in humans. Why people pair them: users combine them for injury recovery, often called the Wolverine stack.
- Can I take it with TB-500? Users combine them for injury recovery, often called the Wolverine stack. No controlled human stack trial. A 2026 rat combination gave no added benefit; knee TB4 data do not validate TB-500. Source: reported by users. Ask a doctor before combining anything.
- Is it banned in sport? Yes. It is banned in and out of competition (WADA 2026). Explicitly named in the 2026 list; applies in and out of competition.
- How long does a mixed vial last? Forum users refrigerate mixed vials; a safe BPC-157 storage period after mixing has not been validated.
